About Department of Public Administration
Department of Public Administration has been established in 2015which is one of the leading departments in Stamford University Bangladesh with remarkable academic research and administrative excellence. Although Public Administration is the latest department under the faculty of Social Sciences in Stamford University Bangladesh, but this department is strongly committed to ensure academic excellence in order to create successful and productive human resources for Bangladesh.
The dynamic leadership of its academic advisor Professor Aka Firowz Ahmad and the efforts of other faculty members has enormously helped the department to attain the present stage. Since its establishment, the department has been conducting undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs and offering BPA (Bachelor of Public Administration) and MPA (Master of Public Administration) degree.

Message from the Chairman
With the vision of ‘better governance for a better world’, the Department of Public Administration, Stamford University Bangladesh started its journey in 2015 to offer public administration programs both at undergraduate and graduate levels. It is not only the pioneering private institution but also only the institution that puts forward the study of public administration among the private universities in Bangladesh. It simultaneously upholds a holistic perspective in the study of governance and concerted efforts to develop the intellectual, technical and moral capabilities of students so that they can stand in the competitive global market with human and leadership qualities. Its objective-based education curriculum is compatible with the planetary standard. The department is enriched with a group of forward-looking, qualified and dedicated regular and adjunct faculties and it always focuses on integrating theories and practices through practical studies and research related to different courses. Consequently, a remarkable number of foreign students, along with local ones, now pursue their higher studies in the department. The department is also well-linked with different universities and research networks at home and abroad. It has an institutional agreement with Tampere University, Finland under the Erasmus+ mobility program of the European Commission. It facilitates exchanging students and faculties between the two universities. The Department of Public Administration is also an organizing partner of the Insearch Conference, an international integrative research conference. It has created an opportunity for the students of the department to be connected with international scholars and the research community and develop themselves as global citizens.
